Thom Roelofs

TRAINER, TEACHER AND IMPROVISER

Thom Roelofs is a new director, teacher and improviser from The Hague, The Netherlands. He has a degree in Hospitality and is currently studying directing and teaching theatre at The Academy For The Arts in Tilburg.

He regularly teaches and performs within the ImproNation show group. He has also worked with many independent improvisational theatre groups in the Netherlands, such as Flock Theatre, Spark Rotterdam, Improv The Hague, and Improfessioneel.

IMPROV. Theatre.

Since his start five years ago, Thom Roelofs has learned from many incredibly talented improvisers, such as Tim Orr, Christian Capozzoli, Michael Churvin, and Laura Doorneweerd Perry.

The instructor's knowledge, combined with his (bookish) curiosity, leads him to continue to see himself as just as much a student as a teacher and create playful learning moments for himself and others.

In the past years, Thom has created various shows, including Under the Surface, The Game, and The Great Community Show.

Other. Projects.

Loving improv means applying it as much as you can as often as you can whether or not that’s Improv, Radio, Podcasting, Public speaking or corporate workshops.
